Making progress is a bit like peeling an onion – you may think each layer is as deep as you need to go but suddenly you realize there is another layer, producing another question with its own answers.

The process is much like having a conversation with a trusted friend. One who doesn’t let you get away with saying, “I don’t know,” when asked the difficult questions. The meetings take place at an agreed upon location that offers enough privacy to encourage frank conversations. Your commitment is to be honest with yourself and explore your feelings.

What does a Life Coaching commitment entail?

Examining & Addressing:

  • Relationships
  • Attitidues
  • Behavioral Issues
  • Major Life Changes
  • Career Issues/Goals

The coaching relationship is one that can last anywhere from six months to several years. Clients often address one issue for several months and step away from coaching until they are ready to address a new area. When they return, we pick up where they left off. The idea is the life coach is there for you. It is up to the coach to help you learn how to ask your own questions and for you to regularly “work out” using what you have learned in your coaching sessions.

A twice a month meeting schedule is quite common as it allows time for you to process what has been explored and discussed in the session, take action or practice new behavior and return in two weeks or so to discuss the results of the changes you are implementing or strategies you are practicing. Sessions last from 60 to 90 minutes. If you are more eager to move forward or feel you need to check in more frequently, during rapid growth, we can meet weekly.
